How Genghis Khan Cooled The Planet ?

Genghis Khan-The EcoSaver:

Ever wondered if a wolf could be a pacifier of the jungle? It happened a few centuries back in Genghis Khan’s times.

Mongols were nomadic tribes until the end of the 12th century. They were warriors roaming around the Eurasian Steppe North of China and fighting. At the beginning of the 13th century Temujin’s dominance over the region’s nomads, following his policies, turned out to be a Mongol nation. From then on he is entitled as GENGHIS KHAN, The Universal Ruler.

Centuries back, around the 13th or 14th century: when Mongols stepped out to conquer the world, Their armies invaded the land that stretched from the Pacific Ocean to the Baltic Sea following invasions across Asia, the Middle East, Russia, and into Central Europe. These invasions over the empire spanned 22 percent of the Earth’s surface. resulted in a huge number of killings, an estimate of 40 million people that is said to be 4 times the mortality rate observed in World War 1 (WW1) and World War 2 (WW2) that is 10% of the population at the time. What amazes the human mind is how a man single-handedly eradicated so much of Carbon footprint. The Mongol invasion had the most significant impact on the ecosystem as This huge killing rate opened a doorway to nature. During this time so many people were assassinated, that large patches of the land went depopulated and large cultivated swathes returned to forests. This eliminated carbon by 700 million tonnes from the atmosphere that is about 0.1 part per million of the total.it’s about a year’s worth of carbon emissions todayThis bloodthirsty ruler helped nature to get healing time and recover itself. According to environmentalists, Genghis Khan is the only historic figure who introduced man-made global cooling. We can call him an unintentional Agent of Nature. Although the road he took was difficult and brutal still ecologists believe it to be the first successful Man-made Global Cooling.

According to Julia Pongratz, A misconception run around is that modern man is destroying mother nature these days by large-scale burning of fossil fuels but man has been doing this since he cleared the forests for agriculture purposes. Another study revealed that deforestation is the major step towards climate change. Since Genghis Khan killed all the people who were cutting down trees for cultivation, the Earth got a chance to recover. Genghis Khan is a classical Lorax by Nature- but with painful consequences. As stated by Julia Pongratz of the Carnegie Institution’s Department of Global Ecology, that

“During the Mongol invasion, there was enough time for the forests to re-grow and absorb significant amounts of carbon.”

So Genghis Khan and his empire, which lasted for two centuries, actually cooled down the Earth. He is also entitled as a green invader as he unintentionally saved mother nature by reforestation. He had been an unintentional eco-warrior purifying the air and helping the planet to relive once again to its fullest.
